Every app uses the same two fields from your SimulcastLive dashboard:
Server: rtmp://[SESSION_IP]/live
Stream Key: [SESSION_KEY]
OBS Studio
The most popular free streaming software. Windows, Mac, Linux.
- Open OBS Studio and go to Settings
- Click the Stream tab on the left
- Set Service to Custom...
- Paste your SimulcastLive Server URL into the Server field
- Paste your SimulcastLive Stream Key into the Stream Key field
- Click OK, then click Start Streaming
Set your keyframe interval to 2 seconds: Settings → Output → Streaming → Keyframe Interval = 2.
Streamlabs
Popular OBS-based app with built-in alerts. Windows, Mac.
- Open Streamlabs and click the gear icon (Settings)
- Click Stream in the left menu
- Change Stream Type to Custom Streaming Server
- Paste your SimulcastLive Server URL
- Paste your SimulcastLive Stream Key
- Click Done, then click Go Live
XSplit Broadcaster
Professional streaming and recording software. Windows.
- Click Broadcast in the menu bar
- Select Set up a new output → Custom RTMP
- Name it SimulcastLive
- Paste your SimulcastLive Server URL into the RTMP URL field
- Paste your SimulcastLive Stream Key into the Stream Key field
- Click OK, then click the output to start streaming
Ecamm Live
Mac-only streaming app popular with podcasters and educators.
- Click the broadcast destination button
- Select Other Destinations → RTMP
- Click Add Custom RTMP Destination
- Name it SimulcastLive
- Paste your SimulcastLive Server URL and Stream Key
- Click Go Live
GoPro (Hero 12+)
Stream directly from your GoPro to SimulcastLive over Wi-Fi.
- On your GoPro, swipe down and tap Preferences
- Go to Connections → Live Stream
- Select RTMP
- Enter your SimulcastLive Server URL followed by a slash and your stream key:
rtmp://[SESSION_IP]/live/[SESSION_KEY]
- Connect your GoPro to Wi-Fi and tap Go Live
GoPro combines Server + Key into a single URL field. Concatenate them with a slash between.
Zoom
Stream a Zoom meeting or webinar to all your platforms via SimulcastLive.
- Start or join your Zoom meeting
- Click More (•••) in the meeting controls
- Select Live on Custom Live Streaming Service
- In Streaming URL, paste your SimulcastLive Server URL
- In Streaming Key, paste your SimulcastLive Stream Key
- In Live streaming page URL, paste:
https://nanostream.io
- Click Go Live!
The "Live streaming page URL" is just a link Zoom shows to participants. It doesn't affect the stream. Use your SimulcastLive dashboard URL or website.
OBS Dock (Recommended)
Embed SimulcastLive inside OBS — one-click Go Live, no browser needed.
The OBS Dock is the fastest way to stream with SimulcastLive. Once set up, you never need to open a browser or copy stream keys again.
- Open OBS Studio (version 28 or later)
- Go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings and enable the WebSocket server. Set a password.
- Go to Docks → Custom Browser Docks
- Click Add and enter:
Dock Name: SimulcastLive
URL: https://simulcast.live/obs-dock.html
- Click Apply. The SimulcastLive panel appears in OBS.
- Sign in with your SimulcastLive account in the dock panel
- Enter your OBS WebSocket password when prompted (one-time setup)
- Click Go Live in the dock. OBS configures itself and starts streaming automatically.
You can also find the dock URL on your Account page in the dashboard with a one-click copy button.
Hardware Encoders
Any HDMI encoder that supports custom RTMP works with SimulcastLive.
- Open your encoder's web admin interface (usually at its local IP)
- Navigate to the Streaming or RTMP settings page
- Set the protocol to RTMP
- Paste your SimulcastLive Server URL
- Paste your SimulcastLive Stream Key
- Click Start or Apply
